Conference

The PROPRIUS Annual Conference provides the opportunity for members and non-members to gather together in a relaxing and friendly environment to hear the latest news and receive updates on all the latest issues relating to operating department practice.

Whilst education is the focus, the Conference includes important topics relevant to students, assessment team members, and clinically placed ODPs and Nurses. The ability to share experiences, promote good practice in operating department practice, and meet fellow educators, clinical tutors or external examiners cannot be underestimated. The ability to network with others from all over the UK during the Conference is an extremely important part of the Conference, and can occur between the sessions or during the varied evening entertainment.

The venue for the PROPRIUS Annual Conference varies from year to year, and has been in places as diverse as Bristol and Belgium, Wales and Walsall, Lille and the Lakes, as well as Glasgow. It is always held in a location as central to the motorway or airport network as is possible.

Note The ‘Corporate’ membership scheme entitles everyone involved with Perioperative Education, through a member centre, including Clinical Educators and Mentors to the preferential membership rate. It is worth noting that the preferential rate means that fees are recouped when only two people from any one centre attend conference.
